Navor Koken began as a cozy lunch spot in Callicoon, inspired by the communal spirit of Northern Germany, where we grew up surrounded by working farms and the Plattdeutsch dialect. Our name – meaning “Neighbor’s Kitchen” – captures the warm, welcoming atmosphere we aimed to create: a place for people to gather, share stories, and enjoy simple, high-quality food.
Although our Callicoon lunch location has since closed, Navor Koken continues through our online store, carrying forward the same values that shaped our beginnings. We remain committed to offering fresh, locally sourced products along with a curated selection of German and Scandinavian specialties. Our online shelves feature classic pantry staples, unique kitchen and tabletop items, and goods from talented local artisans.
A continuing highlight is Odina’s handmade pickles, now available for online ordering with convenient local delivery options – bringing the spirit of the Neighbor’s Kitchen right to your door.
